My brother cuts them out of old CDs that he doesn't really care for anymore. You can get a lot of them out of one CD.

The easiest way is to first get a regular pick, i know you're not near a store but get one from a friend , ask another guitar player , etc. All you have to do is use any pick as a template and lay it on any other material you wish to use as the new pick , trace it out around the edges , now you'll have the shape you need to cut out. You can use just about anything for pick material , an old Clorox bottle , thin aluminum, etc. just use your imagination and try different stuff. You can use hacksaw blades to cut , and tin snips work good too. then you just need some fine sandpaper to smooth the edges. For plastic , i found that running a pick edge back and forth on my bed (sheet) puts a fine smooth finish on the edge. Hope you have good fun and results making your own pick!

You can make one out of paper. Just fold it the same way you would a fold a paper football. On a side note, Brian May (the guitarist from Queen) often used a quarter as a guitar pick.

For a classical guitar, you can cut out picks from the top of a margarine tub lid. It will be light enough for nylon strings.

those old plastic bottles of baby oil, baby powder or alcohol can be used as a pick, the good thing about it is that you can choose the size & shape according to your preference & guitar playing.

just cut it out using a solid scissor.

play on!

Find something that is firm and and made of plastic...then cut it into the shape of a pick...or, of you have anything small lying around, that resembles a pick, use it.
Good Luck! :o)
