I will defintely ask him to join the bull fighting sports in Spain. He can be handy in case any of the bulls get injured. Football doesn't need Zizou anymore but bull fighting sports....DOES! I guess he wouldn't be reitiring after all. He would be just switiching to a new sports for which he has already shown us on the final that he has got the talent!! "TORO ZIZOU TORO"

"hey bro, after the headbutting thingy, you're now a superstar! look, fifa's afraid to take away your golden ball and with all the free publicity, we can make BIG bucks, my friend!

generous offers from hollywood will come flooding in and there's tv, newspaper interviews to consider.

you can't throw all these away just like that. we have to milk it for all that's it's worth and to continue playing professional football is the only way to go.

think about it. err... use your head!"

As saddened as I am that we will not be graced with his playing anymore and as much as I wish he wouldn't, I would say nothing. He has given us so much and left us with so much. His family deserves his return to them. They too have sacrificed a normal life to support his career and if this is his decision I respect that. But I would definitely thank him for the privilege and pleasure of watching him and wish him well in life.

1) Tell him he was not good enough to beat Italy!

2) Tell him Italian fans want him to come out of retirement so they can watch the Azzurri beat him again for good old times sake!

You're a headbutter....dont be a heart breaker too! *tears*

ok no...I'd leave it up to him if he wants to retire or not. Hes at retirement age. Obviously, he chose to retire.

He should retire
He's getting older and his performance will deteriorate.
I guess we'd rather keep a good memory of his marvellous football skills than see him run slowly/lose PK/dive in order to get a penalty.
