I would like to include advertisements for my newsletter that I produce for my job, but I'm not quite sure how to go about acquiring them...any suggestions?

Share with them a copy of your newsletter to read and invite them to advertise to your select group. Chances are the local sandwich or pizza shops will be your best bet but you may get an insurance company or a real estate firm to run an ad especially if they have homes for sale near your plant. They would like to include a photo of the property and may underwrite the cost of the paper. You can also let folks from the plant run classified ads for a nominal fee you would be surprised at how many folks have something going on the side. Check the plant bulletin boards to see who has their stuff up and get them also. Good luck with the paper

By taking a sample of your publication to potential clients and starting a dialog with them. You need to organize a media kit. Be great if you could talk to an ad exec! Good luck! Go to the library and do some reading too!
