is there any suggestions for a household engine to put into a gokart ?

i was asking for some suggestions for a household engine to mount in my go kart frame that will be powerful and have some speed..i was thinking maybe a snowblower engine..but i dont know if that will have enough torque.... help me out. :)

i need to put a good engine into my gokart....but it needs to be able to mount easily and vertical chain or belt driven....any sugestions PLEASE?

what about a small liquid cooled snowmobile engine? like a 340
