my friend asked me to go swimming tomorrow but I just started my period today. Can I swim and more importantly IS IT SAFE?

ok another thing is I dont have any tampons and I dont wear them AND I dont have a ride to go to the store! HELP!!! AGAIN! I can't swim later like when I get off my period because It'll be too late!

It's fine! i do it all the time, you just need to wear a tampon. If you don't do that yet and don't want to then don't get in the water but tampons hold fine just about every 2 hours or so check but you don't have to check before 2 hours.

I wouldnt suggest swimming without using a tampon, imagine if you bleed everywhere. Ask your friend if she has a tampon or get your parent to buy you some.Follow the instructions on pack. You can go swimming when ever you like during your period.

Yes, it's safe. Just use a tampon rather than a pad. Oh, and if it's in the ocean, make sure it's not an area where there are a lot of sharks. Seriously.

Yes, it is perfectly safe on any day. Wear a tampon; pads will dissolve in the water and show. You can do anything you'd normally do during your period.

Yes of course it is! You will need to use a tampon, but yes you can do anything on your period you can do off of it!

It depends where your swimming, in a pool or lake, of course it's fine. In the ocean, sharks can sense one drop of blood from miles away but it doesn't happen too often.

use a tampon.but if you use pads-like me-i wouldn't....i've missed out on plenty of swim invite because of that....not second day maybe the fourth...SORRY...you a tampon and you'll be fine

you should be fine as long as you wear a tampon. i don't think it's possible to get eaten by a shark b/c you're on your period anyway.

yes use a tampon n make sure its one that will absorb alot n u will be fine
