I have a baby daughter. As a member of a family that escaped Islam, I have for the first time great hope for my baby.

I hope Islam survives the revolution against it's terrorism-supporting governments as it's people fight to be brought into the 21st century (I'd settle for 20th). Who knows? Maybe my daughter will join Islam herself when it has given up it's world domination goals. So much beauty. Such a waste.

Thank you to the West. You have been very tolerant. I know you will treat Islam like you have Germany, Italy, Japan, Iraq, Afghanistan, and help them to learn to be successful without losing their cultural heritage.

We already have less.

I asked a person from a third world country who came here to live... did you like living here or there more? She paused for a long while. If you have to think about whether or not one of the most wealthiest nations in the world is better or not than a third word developing nation?... that's sad.

She said, here it's just nuts. You have to watch everything you do. You are NOT free as you think you are. You have all of these rediculous laws, rules, and idiotic lawsuits. You think you're safe at home until somebody breaks in, your dog bites them and you get sued! And your government is just as corrupt, it's just that your government is smarter and hide it better.

You know what. She's right. And it will only get worse.

I don't think it will be just our children that will have less. It will be all of us. With as greedy as this Administration is and what they have done and will do for their corporate power/greed..., whether or not you can afford the gas in your car .. that could very possibly become the last of our worries.

And if this Administration doesn't scare you.. then the people should. They've fallen asleep at the wheel. Totally brainwashed and unresponsive to reality. Say it enough times and they start to believe it. A fact is only what you believe to be the truth. People need to start asking questions and getting REAL answers.

One of the facts that freaks me out the most, is that America is so gdam greedy and spoiled f'in rotten. I think I read that we're only 5% of the world's population, yet consume 40% of it's resources. We're the largest consumer of resources than any other country.

Terrorists? Come on.. do you know how many active nuclear warheads we have?!?! Enough to blow up the entire world God knows how many times. Killing Iraqi and Americans and others 'helping' us in this crazy war.... for absolutely no real good cause.. don't talk to me about the raping and bettering their lifestyle.. that's not why we supposedly went there.. and nor would we go there for just this reason. Makes you wonder about the 'attacks on the USA'. More smoke screen?

Campaign financing, voting fraud, killing our oceans that we know so little about yet cover 2/3 of our earth's surface, social security raped, unaffordable medical costs, media being controlled by only a few sources (making it easier for government to control the media.. it's already happening, but is getting easier), alienating other countries, isolating the USA, ok i'm gonna stop coz i'm gettin' freaked out again.

Get ready for the ride because I think we just got buckled in.

America only has a future if it implements the following,

*a flat rate of income tax of 50% and abolishes tax returns like they have in New Zealand

*then begins a program of free universal health care, free universal education, cheap or free public housing for all the homeless

*gives amnesty to all illegal immigrants

*then starts to bring in new states into the Union but this has to be done slowly, the smaller countries first and the bigger ones later...with the ultimate goal of making all of North America part of the Union.

*End its reliance on fossil fuels and make all policies to reach that end

*next must be a luxury tax on all luxury items such as higher end expensive cars, caviar, expensive wines, 5 star hotels and so on(after all, the rich can afford it, let them pay through the nose).

*and next, to slash miltary spending withdrawl our toops from all over the world and go back into Isolationism like it was before world war 2,

*leave the United Nations, and kick them out from New York send them to Europe or whatever,

*and with all the savings in military spending, put that money towards space exploration/colonization for the greater good of all humanity. Then that will be a great America and EVERYONE will live good, not just a select few. God Bless America!

The future of America looks murky and stormy. Your children will have less than you and far less than the baby boomers.

1. We have badly bungled our manipulation of the world's oil supply (not least by failing to come up with an alternative back in the 1970's).

2. America is becoming a superstitious, religiously foolish country making GEOPOLIGICAL decisions based on MYTH and the worship of hysteria.

3. America is hopelessly in debt and therefore not in charge of its decisions and future (our international bankers are in charge -- they are following the "golden rule" because they have the gold and can make the rules).

I'm sorry but this is the truth. Let justice be done though the heavens may fall.

America's future is always bright, but we have to re-evaluate what it means to have more or to have less.

The Baby Boomer generation has rocked this country and had it their way from beginning to end. By the time, my generation retires, the Baby Boomers will have sucked the system dry and there'll probably be a tremendous backlash against retired folks.

So no, future generations may not find the opportunities as golden as they were for the Baby Boomers, but hopefully they'll remake this nation into something better than was left to them.

I think America is doing just fine. We've survived some incredibly difficult turmoil over the years, including world war II, vietnam, and the cold war. I believe our children will continue to defend and protect the United States as generations in the past have done. Our form of democracy has been proven over time to be the healthiest and most resilient form of government possibly in the entire world. I expect good things for the future, and I hold to optimism.

This generation needs to prepare the next by living simpler lives. All the spoils that is being fed to children is not going to cut it. Life is going to have to go back in order to move forward, I think. Back up, take a hard look at the mess that is being made.....

Having less materialistic things, if that is what you mean...is not necessarily a bad thing. Giving more structure should be what's important right now.

Nope, America's future is anything but bright. Why? (1)America is drowning in a sea of drug abuse; (2)the government is totally out of control and totally unresponsive to the people;(3)thanks in part to the ACLU, criminals are afforded more protection and rights than their victims;(4)the liberal, leftist influence in America continues to find new and better ways to destroy our society;(5)moral degradation is orders of magnitude greater than 20, 25 years ago;(6)death of the family which has always been the strength of America

America's future relies on innovation and technology, however we are losing this to outsourcing too. Many companies are opening research labs in China and throughout Asia. These labs are staffed with chinese nationals trained at graduate schools in the US and Europe. The semiconductor industry is mostly in Asia, forget silicon valley. When are companies like GE (yeah the company that owns the liberal (not) NBC) going to close their facilities in American. With no manufacturing, what is left when we lose the technology edge?

Baby Boomers start retiring now.

How can they keep their exhorbitant living standards going?

The population of workers that are going to support them has to keep increasing or else there won't be enough to fund social security.

At the same time, we are tapping our illegal immigrants and forcing them to fund our social security program - from which they can never benefit.

Something has to give somewhere and sometime. One of the first things will be health care when the BBs start to get older and begin to fall apart. There ain't enough money in all the MidEast oil kingdom that we can get our hands on to take care of these looming debts.

So to answer your question simply, I'm afraid the answer is a resounding yes.
