I dated a 19 year old guy when I was 15. We loved each other very much. My parents made us break up. But when I turned 18 on my birthday he showed up at my house and asked me out again. He missed me. We dated for 2 years after that, we still love each other very much and are great friends.

Yes it is a big deal. Crush is just as heart wrenching as love. The person you have a crush on is in different world from you. They are able to live on their own, go places without permission. You still have to live with your parents, you still need their permission to go places and you are also still in high school. This 19 y.o. could be in college and making a life changing decision, he could be going into the military or staying in school and getting a degree. At this point in your life, you should look at someone closer in age to you. Right now you have different life experiences and cannot really communicate. When you are older (by that I mean over the age of 22) a 5 year age difference won't mean as much because you will be in the same place as a 26 year old. But for now. Look at him and realize that he is too old for you and move on.

Yes it's a big deal, although he may seem cool, like it or not he is mentally more advanced than you. He may even try and manipulate you into doing something you don't want. It would be bad for both of you. Also the only 19 year old guys who want relationships with 14 year old girls are perverts. I don't want you to think I'm some older person who is trying to give you the same old your to young advise I'm only 22 and I've been in your place my first "Boyfriend" was 18 I was 13, turns out he only wanted one thing. Don't get caught up. Don't do it to yourself

No its not a big deal if you have a crush on a 19 year old, but it would kind of a big deal if you started seeing each other.

a crush is fine. acting upon that crush would be wrong. I personally think you're too young for a 19 year old (and I have a suspicion you do too, otherwise you wouldn't have asked).
but crushes are normal and you can have a crush on anybody. like the bagger at the grocery store, a teacher, a doctor, your next door married neighbor, anyone. as long as you try not to obsess over it, I think you'll be fine. :D

If you are mature enough than than it's not that huge but 19 yr olds are usually just trouble (lookin for 1 thing) You should really talk to your parent or gaurdian. No matter how much you dislike what they say. they usually know what's best for you in the long run. Just be Carefull cuz there's all kinds of weird pple out there.

It is a big deal for your future. It is your age to play with girlfriends, not with men.You have long life for that.If want to be act like adult at 14.,rest of life will be dull and boring, because there will be nothing left to wait for and enjoy.
