i'm a redhead and i use it! for me the coverage isn't all that great unless you get in there with a small eyeshadow or concealer brush, but it looks really really natural and it's great stuff.
your coverage may be better if you use a different brush, i really don't know.

I only use BE and am an ABSOLUTE FAN! I use fairly light as my color and I have bad acne scars and some occasional acne but BE covers this. The trick for me is to use the Kabuki brush first for a once over on your face, and then use the Max Coverage face brush and use on the areas that need more coverage. When I have a big pimple to cover I use the concealer brush on it and the pimple disappears.
I have never found this foundation to be shiny, but if you want absolutely no chance of this happening, go to Sephora and get the Cargo liquid powder it comes in a tube and looks brown but goes on colorless, and it will ensure that it doesn't look shiny.
I also work out twice a day at the gym and this makeup lasts through the first workout session, sometimes through the second workout depending on how much I sweat. And it looks very, very natural. Most of the time people can't tell you're wearing it.
Just make sure to use a little moisturizer before you apply the BE, to avoid a dry look.

I have very fair skin. I use Bare Escentuals. It is the only makeup I have used for over five years and I wouldn't consider using anything else. I live in the desert southwest. Right now it is nasty hot and humid. My makeup stays on and looks great all day. It does not sweat off or slide off.
The coverage is fantastic. I have post-acne discolouration scarring and hyperpigmentation and BE covers it all. I use the foundation and the Summer Bisque.
My skin looks like skin, even tho I need heavy coverage in some areas of my face. BE is very blendable and buildable. I can use it heavy where I need it and light where I don't need so much and it all blends flawlessly together.
They have shades for very light skin. I use Fair and Fairly Light. Depending on what time of the year it is and what my skin needs. It never looks too dark and it never turns that funky brown-orangy tone that liquids do.

I use Bare Minerals. I use the Fairly Light, and I cannot live without it. It is very natural looking and does an amazing job of smoothing out the complexion. I have rather oily skin, but it never causes me to break out, and it lasts longer than anything I have tried. It is quick and easy to use, and easy to touch up shine, by using the mineral veil. It is on the expensive side, but is completely worth it, especially if you buy the sixty dollar starter kit, which includes everything you need. I recommend Bare Minerals for anyone.

I haven't worn it, but I have tried it at Sephora and didn't like it. The coverage is suprising for a powder, but it is also tough to blend and can look blotchy. The worst part of it is that it has a lot of mica in it, which it claims gives it the texture. This may be true, however mica is mostly used as shimmer so in good light, this foundation is very sparkly. If you don't mind this, and all the steps and brushes and stuff, go ahead. Besides the problems with the foundation itself, all the steps and required brushes and mess of using loose powder is more than I want to deal with!

I love the stuff.....I don't wear a lot of make up to begin with, but the bare minerals makes the skin look smoother and healthier.
Go for it....you'll love the results!

I used it. I LOVED it...but I HATED the price. The coverage was awesome, but not sweat proof.....not good for summer. As for natural looking....yes, but it had kind of a dewy look.

I have, as it works well for some it didn't works so good for me. It seemed to get oily & blotchy on my skin. I just tried Everyday Minerals you can go to their website everydaymineral.com & get a free kit just pay S&H. So far it's working really well for me. There makeup prices are much more reasonable as well.

I love it. Some is a bit shimmery and some is not. It depends on what you get.
Coverage is heavier if you use the buki brush, but if you use the regular one, it looks like no makeup at all - only better. Blends beautifully, looks natural.
The only downside is that if you drop it - powder flies everywhere!!!!
