I know that's not "old" and I'm a very young 35...maybe I've been too long leading a 'Bohemian' lifestyle. (Kind term for: unfocused, flighty and Jill of all trades...) There are too many choices, I am grateful 4 that, but they overwhelm me! I'm too intimidated to commit to an educational pursuit, I have no supports or dependents, have loads of talent (not bragging, but I do.) but am not near my Potential, and it's freaking me out...I feel like I'm stuck just getting by, when I know I've more to offer!

When I was 35, I unstuck everything that was stuck to me - stressful job, monster house in the suburbs, parasitic relationships, the whole rut... packed up the kids, left the city and started painting.

I'm not that person anymore... I've never looked back, never regretted a thing.

Awesome stories above, by the way... life is beautiful.

When I was about your age I began to take classes at the University to have a degree in education. Before that I had majored in Humanities, with degrees in Visual Arts and Drama. I finished my studies at 39 and at 40 I began to work as a drama teacher in an elementary school. Now at 48, I want to take some courses in Graphic design, because I plan to make a career change at 50. It is never too late.

I went back to Penn State University at 40 and received my four year degree in surveying (full time student). I did much better than when I was younger, and I even joined the student government and had a second chance and I am humbled by the experience.

Yes. At 37, I began to tackle my fears of public speaking, via ToastMasters. I routinely speak in public w/o too much trouble. At 40, I dropped from 195 to 145. I've been holding for 3-years now. At 42, I started running, I'm up to 6-miles/day now.
