Would you do if you were to pick up a lost wallet somewhere one day, containing someone's I.D., credit cards, and lots of cash?

It would be temping to keep the cash but I would never do that because i would feel too guilty. I would call the cops because someone's life could be destroyed if someone found it who would use this information. It would affect the person for many many years and I would not want to bare the responsibility for that.

I know your first instinct is to keep the cash, then either eturn it or toss it, because that is most people's first thought. But returning it intact - cash and all - is the right thing to do. You and I both know that. So, the question becomes "Is it worth selling your integrity for a few (or even many) bucks in a wallet?" Deep down, you will feel better, even rightfully proud of yourself, if you do return the wallet. One last thought... what would you want the finder to do if you were the one who lost the wallet?

I'd anonymously return the I.D. and credit cards. But man, I could really use some cash, so would probably have to take part of it.

yes I would turn it in, and no I would not take nothing. we need more honest people. I have never lost a wallet or purse nor have I found one...but I have given a cashier a 10 bill and she gave me change for a 100...made it all the way home to find out she had given me WAY too much back...I went right back up there and explained she gave to much change. She told me "no mam, YOU were the ONLY one to give me a hundred today" and she went into her drawer to prove it...BOY her eyes got big when she saw that lil 10 sitting under there and NOT the hundred...like she told me "I would have gotten fired for that" what else are you supose to do? the RIGHT thing, thats what!

Keep 20$ as a reward and mail the wallet back to the person with no return address.

Well I would write the person...if the address was in the wallet and tell them to give me $1000 dollars for the safe return of their wallet

Can't give it to the cops they would steal the money....then buy drugs with the money and blame it on me

Call the person (if there's a # available) so they can come get it--or if possible take it back to the address on the I.D.--finally, take it to the police.

I would return it of course. Wouldn't you want the same done for you if you was in that position? And if you were the type of person to take the money and run, I would hope that you would run into someone as dishonest as yourself one day when your in need of your money the most.

I would love to say I would... Nick the cash, use the credit cards and use their fake ID to get stuff :D... But my conscience would catch up with me, and would screw me up, so yea I would return it or hand it the police.

I would truely be an honest person and return it. I would want the same if I lost mine, though I doubt it would happen that way. The world is full of dishonest people.
