Not so stupid when you consider the blatant disregard he has shown for any of the vows he took as a husband, an officer and potential head of the Churh of England.

No, he doesn't deserve it and he shouldn't have married Camilla either. He is an embarressment to the Crown.

Well, I'm from America, so correct me if I'm wrong, but I think that Queen Elizabeth will live for at least another twenty years, so if he does becom King, then he won't be for very long. But I think that he should at least get a chance!
And those of you who think that the UK should do away with the monarchy, you're crazy, how would the Royal Family LIVE??? They have no idea what it's like in reality, they would be POOR, and nobody wants to be poor, how devastating would that be. PLUS, the Royal Family, is the Royal Family, England wouldn't be England without them!!! But, yes, Charles should be King.

no his mother should stay queen for as long as she lives and given the length of her mums life Charles will be rather old by then...her grandsons may be in their 30s or even 40 by the time she dies... I think the English are to with tradition and will have him as king but be glad for the long life of the queen...
no matter what happens it will be a spectacle

Saying he shouldn't be king just because he's a screwball isn't manarchist. He should by virtue of his being next in line to the throne, that's how the monarchy is decided.

In this day and age, we should do away with the monarchy. It is just a waste of taxpayer's money. What do they do other than "sit and look pretty"? They have absolutely no governing powers anymore.

not being funny - but what do they actually do for us?? My husband is strictly royalist, Im more republican(so he tells me) and when I spout off about how much the royals cost,he assures me its only £1 per year per person?!?
Well, if I had £1 per year from everyone in the UK I would put it toward finding a cure for cancer, stop child poverty in the UK! lower fuel prices.....so many things Id like to do which need to be done, but what do we have insead....a 'lady' of pensionable age, strutting around in designer clothes, with tons of staff at her beck and call....shoots off when she feels like it in private jets.....??!!??!! WHY
