Sorry, the other previous answers didn't come up - so I'm shooting from the hip.
1. Many of these 'come ons' are bogus - some are a way to get photographers some income, others are perverts trying to satisfy their lust - I don't want to scare you, but this is what it is. Only a few are legit (a very few).
2. There are many legit "casting offices" that want to keep tabs on "local talent" for Acting that can be hired for 'background' (extras) or "5 and under" (actors with a few lines - usually a word or two, sometimes with significant input that is restricted to less than 5 lines of dialogue) or Modeling - watch out for 'private' showings .
3. DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH - but rarely there have been instances where some deserving soul got a "break" from local casting - but it is so rare that it should be filed under 'fat chance.'
If you (and your MOM) want you to pursue a career in Performin Arts (Movies, TV, State, Commercials, modeling) go to the nearest Major Culeral Center (LA, NY, Chicago, Atlanta) and GET AN AGENT (and/or Manager - I don't like them as a rule, but some really are effetive).
By no means, ever EVER be in a room with adults without your Mother being present. There is stuff too scary to mention that goes on - from Auditions to Photo sessions to Coaching to (even) Costume Fittings.
Show Biz can be a Wonderful Life, but there are a few bad apples in the barrel and you don't want to have a Wonderful Dream (and a wonderful normal life) ruined by one of those wierdos out there.
To be 'Legit' you gota go legit - don't fall for any 'line' that leads you where you don't want to go.
Lots of luck with your asperations.

I'm sure you did very well in the audition and with continued study you will grow to be a fine actor. One somewhat cynical question though; how much do they want you to pay for the photos? This may be completely legit (and I hope it is), but there are a lot of unscrupulous people who will try to take advantage of your dreams while taking a lot of your money.
Also, the "Life" is not nearly as glamorous as you imagine; the extremes are that you're either very poor and struggling or completely without privacy and the ability to lead a normal life.
Good luck and be careful.

Good luck, but remember to be sceptical. Some of these agencies aren't legitimate. If they ask you for $$ up front it's not a legitimate agency. You will probably need headshots, but that should be the only cost you incur, but you don't have to get them thru that particular agency either. The only $$ they should get is after they've found you work and you booked the job, they get a percentage of that job. That's it.
