I would never inflict my singing voice on an unsuspecting public...drunk or not. That would be tantamount to a terrorist act. I only sing in large groups so that my awful awful voice will be drowned out by the crowd. When I sing in my car (by myself) I have to be sure the radio is up loud enough to drown me out or I suffer the consequences. Seriously. My singing is worse than Vogon poetry.

I have seen some very good karoke singers, and I've never seen them drink anything but water or soda; I believe they come to sing, to perform, and they are ready BEFORE the get there - already emboldened, if you will ... "drunk" with the desire to sing and be heard and receive the applause.

It all depends on my mood and what I am drinking. Normally, (which makes me sound like I do this kinda **** all the time) I would say four to five beers and a couple shots of tequilla.

I did that twice! I guess I had had some shots (you expect me to remember the count!!!???)
Once I sange "Hotel California". Next time was with a chic, I dont even remember what she was trying to sing and what I mumbled along. hehehe
