Don't tell her anything yet.
Realize that she broke her promise. She told you she'd refrain from ditching you and remain a good and loyal friend. Promise broken.
Meanwhile, how often is this occuring? Has she refused to spend time with you at all? Has she cancelled plans with you to hang out with him?
And are you positive that she's hanging out with HIM when she's not with you? Maybe she's busy with other things.
All in all, though, she's ditched you. I know what that's like. You need a more honest friend, and as much as it hurts, you just need to let her go until she matures a little bit.
I hope this helps.

Well youve got to deal with the fact that your friend is choosing to spend their time building a different kind of relationship with someone else. Just chill out and make plans with other friends for a while and dont let your friends ditching behaviour drag you down . There not out to hurt you there wrapped up in the warm bubbly glow of (Love/Lust/Infatuation) or whatever and In time the rose of love will lose its bloom and they'll start seeing the thorns. Untill then be happy for your friend and find a new avenue for you to enjoy.
Good Luck with that

Well, I've had this happen before many times. Same friend, same guy. Now, my friend was probably more flakier than yours and the last time it happened I was on my way out of the state. I haven't spoken to her since I moved either.
With your friend I'd say to let her know how it makes you feel and maybe you could be included. Do you have a guy too? Can the four of you go on a double date? Do you have a guy friend if you 're single who could be the fourth person. Trust me, you do NOT want to be the third wheel!

Girl, that's happened to me twice already.
Yeah sure my best friends' boyfriends are alright and all,
but my guy friend tells me that a best friend can't match up with a boyfriend.
I kinda believe him.
Our friendships may not be as strong as before,
but I'm still there for them ...
even if I miss what we had.
What I did was find myself some new friends.
Some of them are people who also hate being THIRD-WHEEL.

Nothing, that's how life goes. My friends all become "whipped" once their married. At least I get to enjoy the bachelor parties.
Same thing applies to dating. People act differently. If you had found someone you really like and not her, the same thing would have happened.
Best advice: accept your friend, go find a new friend, or go find a boyfriend.

tell her exactly that. remind her that she told you to tell her if she was ditching you and say that you feel left out or hurt and that you don't mind her and her boyfriend hanging out, you just want to be able to hang out with her too.

All you can do is be honest with yourself and her. If she's hurting you by leaving you all the time, maybe she isn't that great a friend, however the couple does need there own space. Just be honest!!

tell her to take a hike. i hate people that do this. your friends are supposed to be there for you no matter what. she on the other hand only need you when he isn't around. she's using you.
