tell him to stop, that its annoying and interfering with your work. if he doesnt stop tell him you are reporting his behavior to your manager, and go throuh with this threat. it does get annoying but theres no reason why you need to hear it....... unless you are asking about it yourself......

Why not just give the guy a chance to grieve his marriage? Obviously it bothers him immensely or he wouldn't still be discussing it 3 years later. But then again, maybe he's obsessing over this relationship and needs professional counseling to work through the anger and pain he feels. Kind of tough to suggest that to a person but if you could find a nice way to bring it up, it could possibly help him more than anything else.

Not sure that can be done without hurting his feelings. I guess if it were me.... i would either not worry about hurting his feelings and just flat out tell him.. or simply not even acknowledge his remarks about his ex. Simply dont even reply.. let him talk and talk and talk.. nobody say nothing back.. sooner or later.. he should get the message unless he is really dense. Me personally am blunt as hell and I would just flat out tell him and apologize later for hurting his feelings. I can understand that ENOUGH IS ENOUGH. Good luck

thats difficult because obviously he loved her and you guys are the only ones he can "vent" to. hopefully this new girl will fix things and she will be all he talks about, thats usually what it takes to get over an ex., or maybe you can do it back to him. start talking about the same stuff all the time and when he says you keep talking about the same stuff then you reply "like you do about your ex?"

Just take him to the side and tell him how annoying it is and you think he should give it a rest or do something about his problem....meaning if he's still in love with her he needs not to be in a relationship with someone else.

Ask him what his is hang up with his ex wife. If he acts like "what do you mean" Tell him that he talks about her constantly. Maybe he is too dumb to realize he does it.

His new girlfriend should tell him. Why she puts up with it is more than I can understand. He needs therapy to move on. It takes some people much longer.
