I don't think so, because the people in charge of this country, who are setting foreign policy, won't admit that it is a disaster, nor that it is illegal! You can learn from a mistake you don't own up to, and since most elections in Congress are won by people already in Congress, the chance of a complete overhaul is unlikely, no matter how many people disagree with the war. Of course, the President is going in two years, but who KNOWS who will be next!

I don't understand you statement about illegal invasion of Iraq. An invasion is when you take something without giving it back to the people. The Iraq people have their own government

Illegal in what sense? The senate authorized the president to use necessary force to protect our interest after the disastrious event of 9/11.

Where were you when the former president of Iraq refused time after time after time to allow the UN inspectors to look for the weapons of Mass Destruction. Never once were they allowed to do their job.

Where were you when the twin towers in New York was hit by terriost? Where were you when the USS Cole a navy ship was hit by a boat ramming into it? Where were you when our US embassy was bombed in Africa and other countries?

I see what you want, you want us to do nothing until the enemy is entering Chicago, Los Angeles, and New York killing our children and women and innocent people before we go to war blowing up schools, churches, disrupting public transportation. That is what you want, I am sorry that I missed that in my first assessement of your statement.

Now do me a favor. When and if they get here I don't want you to be running around asking, "Why didn't our government stop the bombing of our cities, schools, churches before they got here."

You see these people have no respect for our way of life, our religious freedoms and other liberties we take for granted. Look at Afgan, the women have to wear scarfs over their face and head. If they get here and do what they want our women will be required to wear those scarves also. Girls are not allowed to attend school. Girls and young women are raped without recourse. This could be your sister, mother, aunt or other female members of your family.

There are no laws as we know them. If two or more people say you told a lie they will cut your tongue out, based on what those two individuals said.

Of course none of that mean a darn to you as your country and the young Americans are off fighting this illegal war.

I certainly hope our foreign policy remain the same and we continue to support those people in other countires that are seeking freedom and want to be friends of the United States.

I also hope individuals like you never have to see the things that happen during a war to young people especially girls, women and the bombing that keep kids from attending schools, scouting , Saturday baseball, basketball and football games because they are running and hiding from bombs, their fields and gyms are bombed.

I hope this has been of some use to you, good luck.

I'm not sure who you mean when you say "the Americans"

the current administration is unlikely to change policy
they believe in it
they don't think it is illegal
they think they are protecting U.S. citizens and interests
they think it is costly, but not disastrous

the people of the U.S. will elect a new president in 2008

depending on who they elect, the policy for Iraq could change very quickly then

finally! human beings are placing out their eyes to work out the certainty and the information displayed right here talk for themselves. After that giant answer from gypsy_cat 345, i have not were given a lot to assert except that folk like Vanessa ought to seem on the bigger image and make her own checks, quite than believing in what the media want human beings to believe. also, i don't think of human beings ought to balme the Islamic faith for the moves of ignorant so-reported as Muslims who declare they're appearing on its behalf. secondly, i don't think of Israel is only a small united states of america that desires to be left by myself. If this changed into the case it does no longer have waged an entire-blown war on lebanon, killing thousands of those with the intention to regain 2 of their squaddies who were captured by using Hezbollah. shouldn't they imagine about freeing the thousands of thousands of lebanese prisoners presently in Israel! Thirdly, Muslims do no longer have some thing antagonistic to Jews. the issue is with the Zionists and Israelis. BTW, i'm no longer Lebanese. i'm only declaring what i beleive is the certainty

We never signed a treaty from the first gulf war....therefore, at anytime they were violating the no fly zones we could have marched in there and kicked their butt.........so what illegal invasion are you talking about???? Learn your history before you spout such nonsense.

No, the military runs everything now and all they know is pull the trigger and blow someone up if they have oil, then blame those who fight back.
