If your employer doesn't approve your claim, you can't collect.
Employers pay for the unemployment benefits. The more claims they have against their company, the higher their rate.

lock out is the same as a layoff go get unemployment

if you were terminated for cause "fired for a good reason" you can not collect unemployment!
