not if they're using it for the wrong reasons. I get yelled at because my brother opened a window, how messed up is that.

Because you are not listening to them and you are questioning their authority-
A parent wants your respect and love!!
Be good to them and you will recieve a great outcome!

It's the joy of being the parent. I use to hate that growing up but then I said it to my son. I can't wait tell he starts using that same phrase.

because that's the fact... They are just trying to discipline you as you probably too young to make decision at your age now. They mean well, so don't feel sad

when do you hear them say6 this the most. are you doing something for them to say that. they are in charged and they probably want to stay in charged. they dont want you to do the things that they dont allow you too. whenever i do something without permission my grandmother tells me this to. she tries to say this so that i would be scared and not do it again unless i ask her first.
