I say the best age to have a steady monogamous boyfriend relationship is in your late twenties. Don't tie yourself down to one guy until then. While your young enjoy as many guys as you can!

I would say about 16 you will know who you are and what you are probably looking for. At this age you can look and try out different guy and see what you like and don't like. Don't tie yourself down in High School though.
I had a boyfriend of two years in highschool it was fun, but sometimes I felt like it took away from my experience in just having fun with my friends, even with track and swimming.
In college you will truely know what you want, you will probably be more serious in the type of relationship you want.
I just got out of the two year relationship and Im in a relationship of several months, and this one is much better than the one in Highschool, more mature and fun. I felt obligated to be with that other guy in HS, and now I am an adult and know what i want and looking for.
But beyond the rambling 16 is a good age, I started early but you wont have a "real" boyfriend till around 16 most likely. That is a real relationship that is serious about fights, love, fun and so on.

I consider naniannie... its a lot less about the numerical age than the adulthood of the human beings in contact. i'm 20 years old & engaged, yet i'd be almost 22 when we get married. My fiance is 4 years older than me. After 4 years of courting you comprehend no matter if you need to get married & even with the very incontrovertible certainty that it truly is going to under no circumstances be rushed into, you'll comprehend once you're waiting to make that form of committment. And the section about feeling too youthful...?? you should experience that way at 30 yet that would not inevitably recommend you aren't from now on waiting to get married. do only what's actual for you & your boyfriend, do not get all fearful about what your associates are telling you; each and every person's different.
