Provided you don't live in the Arctic Circle, it does make the head cooler than having a full head of hair. That said, it's about the only 'benefit' besides personal preference.

I shave my head and it is better, no hair to comb, you are not as hot with it and I actually get hit on more than I did with the comb over... Imagine that
