How do i get excell use greater then and less then using the secinario 5000 to 10000?

Question

I am trying to set up a spreadsheet for orders and want excell to work out discount levels across a range from 5000 to 100000 in blocks of 10000

if(a1 > 5000, .95, 1)

If a1 is greater than 5000, then 95%, else 100%. Can nest too:
if(a1 > 5000, if(a1 > 10000, .9, .95), 1)

Can also look at doing Vlookup (much more complicated - read the manual)

Use the IF function in excel
Insert menu, Function, Select logical in the category field and look for IF under select a Function
