It is definately a hard question to answer, but I would have to go with Big Papi. He has much more brute strength and is better in the clutch. If you look at the stats, Ortiz has more walk off home runs and home runs in clutch situations than Pujols. In many ballparks, the right-field wall is closer than the left field wall, and Ortiz is a lefty pull hitter, giving him the advantage. The pitching is considerably worse in the NL than the AL, giving Ortiz the advantage again. Pujols is also still coming back from an injury. Of course, you also have to take into account the fact that Pujols has caught up to Ortiz while playing less games than him, and it also depends on how each player is playing that day.

Home Run Derby's are about more than just "Brute Strength". I'm a huge David Ortiz fan and if it's a home run derby with the situation 2 outs 9th inning, tying or winning run on base, Papi's my choice, but.....
A home run derby takes a lot out of a player. Lots of swings wear down players and that's why I'd pick Pujols. Ortiz is a big guy and the # of swings would tire him out faster. I think Ortiz would have the lead after 1 round but later rounds Pujols has better endurance.

i think of he might have performed nicely, however the park in Pittsburgh is ideally set up for a lefty and he might have struggled to win in the later rounds like Wright did. To win a house run contest, the perfect contestant is geared up greater like Howard or Pujols frequently nonetheless. solid athletes who've the endurance to do nicely in the later rounds. to respond to the question, no, Albert does not have gained this 365 days, quite often via park.
