It has already ended as we know it. We just have our souls running around and don't give a care what happens.

Why do people keep asking if the "world" will end? The world, and the environment, are damned near indestructible--it's the conditions necessary for humans to live that may be more fragile than we know.
The world, including the environment, will carry on with or without us until the Sun turns into a red giant and cooks the Earth like a kernel of popcorn..

Humans might be able to wipe out a very large percentage of the life on the planet, but will not be able to eliminate all life nor physicially destroy the planet (all the nukes on the planet do not have that much power).
Archeabacteria can live in extreme environments (some will die in what we'd consider safe living conditions), so it is extremely unlikely all life could ever be wiped out through human intervention.
However, the sun will eventually go through a phase that will cause it to cool down somewhat then expand immensely - enough to completely destroy the earth.

Doesn't matter, most likely every one that is currently on the planet will be dead long before it ends. The world may end for humans, but there will always be life on the planet, even if it is cockaroachs,or bacteria. Then if not here on some other world, ,just enjoy what we have and try to keep it healthy as long as possible.

I don't think the world will end. People won't be here forever, no species lasts for too long geologically. Over 90% of the species that have lived on Earth are already extinct. We will eventually join the list. But the earth will still exist when we're gone. Cockroaches, algae, bacteria.....who knows what will rule the Earth then, but it'll still be here without us.

Depends on your definition of the world ending. If you mean no more planet, then it's very doubtful. so far, we haven't come close to developing anything that powerful. If you mean the end of mankind and/or life on the planet, I think it is very likely that it will be our own damn fault. We are approaching the limits of what the planet can support, and we are screwing with the environment.
"Man saw what he had created, and said, 'It is good.' Then he sat back, lit a cigarette, and blew himself up. In the end, there was God, whose sigh was too deep for words."

The world? As in what we call the Earth? or the Earth? or the Universe.
We can't do either of the last two. But the world as we know it? It could happen, but I sure hope it does not.

Delta Phi is going to have a back to school party in about a month. I figure it will end then, but women will probably play a part. It wouldn't end if it were just guys. It would just tilt on it's axis and maybe stop spinning, but with women, it WILL explode!!
Plan to be there!!

The world will not end until the sun blows up...which I guess is naturally. We might kill ourselves off somehow, but the world will still be here.

The world?
To be honest, I don't thinkwe have the capability to destroy the world.
Could we end human existence? Possibly. But the world would just go on without us.
