Usa almost beated Italy, beasley scored another goal but it was offside, The game ended 1-1. The game between Italy and Australia was fixed, at the end of the match Italy had a fake penalty kick in they won 1-0. now tell me was'nt Italy suppose to be eleminated?

Nobody cares if you think Italy sucked, the matches were fixed, and they should have been eliminated.
Italy won the World Cup, and that happened two weeks ago.
Why don't you get over it once and for all?

I'm a big fan of Italy's team but I do admit that they didn't play their best in games like with USA. You have to look at the situation in the game. First of all, Italy scored for USA so that's one. Also the referee sucked. When two teams play 9-9 or 10-9, obviously, there's something wrong with the referee. With what the referee did, it hurt both sides in the game. They didn't play good and they needed more players in the field to do better.
I also hate it when people complain about why a team won. Sometimes, you need alittle bit of luck, motivation, etc. I think Italy had that. Maybe they didn't do their best from the start but while moving on, they got better and better. I think it was just meant to be which I'm happy :)

1) Italy spotted the U.S a goal! Italy scored on themselves! How can you say the U.S almost beat them! Plus the U.S had 0 (yes 0) shots on goal! You should of watched the game buddy!
2)Australia is not as good as Italy's team period! Seven Italian players were named to the 2006 World Cup team. That is more then any other team. Italy beat them without Nesta! He is their best player.
Watch the play leading up to the penalty kick. You will see how Grosso completely faked out two slow Australian players. One of the Aussies was faked out so bad his feet gave out from under him causing him to fall in front of Grosso causing the foul. It was a fair call!

Italy had 7 points (2 wins, 1 draw) in the round of 32 which put them 1st in their group.
In the round of 16, they beat Australia 1-0 (fixed or not they still won) and put them through to the quarter finals.
In the quarter finals, they beat Ukraine 3-0.
Semis, beat Germany 2-0.
And we all know how the final ended.
So, they didn't lose one match during the World cup and you wonder how they won the cup....

well I am not commenting on that but now there will be another huge ***** fest about Aussies as it is commonly believed that they have no positive or supportive posts from anyone else in the world. Every time Australia is mentioned in a question whether asked by an Aussie or not the comments about us being whingy and whiney and bad sports are thrown around, so I would really like it if we were left out of it.

Australia should have won because the italians are drama queens and won cause of the penalty that shouldt have been theres.It was so close if Australia won that game i would have gone to watch there other game at the federation square.Im so dissapointed.
