I know exactly how you feel. I felt the same way when I was expecting. In my family we have been using this home mexican remedy that my grandmother's used with my mother , aunts , cousins , my sisters ,and myself throughout many years .It's a tea breawed from whole groung ''CUMIN'' that you find in your local supermarket in the tea or herbs and spices section. What you do is boil about a cup of water with about a tablespoonful to cumin .Let it boil for about 5 minutes to let it get a really stong flavor . When I tried I had already been past my due date and nothing was hasppening so I decided to take the tea. I took about 2 cups tha t day. It worked the following day I had mild contractions and went to the doctor. He checked me and said I did have contractions but was not dialating. He sent me home and told me to go walk . The following day I went again to see him and still I had not dilated any. I went to the hospital that night because I couldn't stand the contractions lukily I had dialated some and I stayed. I had my daughter in the morning. So I asume that the tea provoked my contractions but perhaps I wasn't ready to go into labor and thats it took me long to start dilating.

If you aren't at least 38 weeks...be patient.
ALL babies DO come out.
Go get a massage or see a chiropractor. Do something to make yourself feel better. Get a haircut or get your nails done. Buy an outfit for YOU for after the baby is born and walk around the mall some. Enjoy these last few days/weeks because they are much easier to care for on the inside than after they are born.
If you are at least 38 weeks...start having lots of sex. Semen can ripen the cervix and orgasm can cause contractions. BUT...if you aren't really physically ready to have the baby then nothing will work and youll just frustrate yourself, whatever you try. So try to relax and enjoy the ride. I promise your body and your baby will know when it's time.

I am 38 weeks and I want my baby out too. I am sick of being pregnant too. Actually I love the kicks and puntches, it's just the morning sickness or should I say all day sickness and the pressure of her being in the birth canal. She is my first. My doctor was going to take her but she didn't weigh enough(5lbs. 15oz)roughly. A lady who doesn't know me from adam told me to have rough sex. I prefer not to go that route because I had tyo stop having sex at 32 weeks because it hurt. The other suggestion was to walk for hours at the mall. I did and I have been having off and on contractions. Good luck and Congratulations.........

Ok first off pregnancy is supposed to last 40 weeks. I know it gets difficult in the end and you are very anxious. Try going for a massage or a pedicure something to pamper you so you forget your misery. Your baby needs all the time it can get in there. The longer it stays in the healthier it will be. If you are just really big and your baby is too ask your doc if there is anything he/she can do. Some docs will strip your membranes and that works pretty fast! Good luck and hang in there!

To tell you the truth I know just how you feel my youngest was almost 4 weeks overdue and the only thing that worked was Castor oil and a long walk. Just be sure to be close to a bathroom when the Castor oil kicks in you are going to need it. If the baby is not ready to be born you are out of luck. Just hold on a few more days everyday he/she is in there is one day you aren't changing diapers...lol

Been there...done that! I tried everything and that baby wasn't coming out until he was good and ready! Good luck to you and I hope you and baby do great through your delivery. I know this isn't what you asked about, but I have 1 word for you... EPIDURAL! Trust me I was so happy when I got it I almost stood up and kissed the anestesiologist square on the mouth!

Walk walk walk!!! It did it for me. The last weeks are terrible. I feel your pain. I'm 20 weeks pregnant with my fifth and i'm tired already so I understand. Also sex does help sometimes, my doctor has always suggested that at the end. Good Luck!

Sex unfortunately is what several of my friends swear by... I walked, ate spicy food, drank cumin tea, drank castor oil... Nothing worked. The castor oil did give me horible contractions and caused a trip to L/D, but still did not bring labor. Walking is good prep for labor, but don't know if it actually causes labor.

you poor thing...I'm only 21 weeks and I'm beginning to feel the same way already! As long as you are at term, walking is supposed to be the best thing you can do. Doctor's now say sex doesn't help but hey, it can't hurt!
