My brother has been living with my parents for about 6years. He followed them when they moved out of state and now is trying to move into a new house with my Mom. He is 46 years old, any ideas.

Have a talk with your parents and ask them if they want him to be a cripple. Ask what will he do if they are no longer able to care for him. Suggest that they pay the rent on an apartment for 3 months and insist he get a job to continue the rent. They aren't helping this overgrown baby. I believe they have more of a problem that he does. Why should he be independent if he doesn't have to.

Does he @ least work ? My ex was a freeloader too. Him, his bro & their sis & their mom & dad lived under one roof. My ex said that it was his sis's house tho. But I think that their parents paid for most bills :s (N) The parents are moving out & the sis wants to move out w/ them.
I say that you just should talk to your mom. Tell her that it's not fair that he gets to live there for nothing. At least get her to make him pay rent & help out w/ groc & possibly the phone bill, esp if he makes any long dis calls & get him to pay for the calls that he makes. That's what happened when I lived @ my uncle's place. Any long dis calls I made were circled & they showed me the bill. His gf added everything up & gave me the total of how much I owed. After a while she didn't want me eating their food !!! She wanted me to buy my own groc. They could have increased (I even suggested it) but they didn't. They asked for a mere $200. So $200 + possibly $10 or $20 for phone, & I had to buy my own food...
