Slaqueur : is it funny to fall right before a car arrives ??????

I am not that serious....! want to see what kind of funny reasons you can come up with too...:-)

Oh boy, I've been waiting for a question like this! For, for and for ! (as long as it's not on a major highway). Here's a few reasons:
- can have a bigger "rink" if it's on the street (vs. on a driveway)
- the other kids in your neighbourhood can see there's a game going on and join in
- it's fun to yell "Car!" when someone drives by (and to move the nets to let them by)
- creates less potholes in the street than pétanque
- parked cars only experience minor dents (esp. if you use a tennis ball instead of one of those hard orange balls)
- you can play it all year round
- if you get killed by a car, you strengthen the overall gene pool

For. Played it pretty much everyday as a kid growing up. Loads of fun. Keeps you fit and out of trouble.

The weird thing here in the Lower Mainland of B.C. there have been attempts by Scrooge-like neighbors to ban it. Do these pinheads not realize that it's better kids play road hockey than go around breaking into your homes because they have all outlets for constructive fun banned nowadays. Don't get me started on the no skateboarding or no rollerblading signs.

After the Flyers won the Stanley Cup "centuries" ago, street hockey was the only way we could play around Philly. There were only two ice rinks in the area and most boys at that time could not afford to play. It was nice when the real winter settled in and my neighbors pond would freeze.

Im for it. Great childhood memories of everyone out on the street playing. Sometimes the guys would let us girls play to. Now you see these street signs up saying no ball hockey allowed, I know why but its just sad.

Football

its goes on and on

But on the other hand you always have them people that just don't want to move when a car is coming and it messed up for everybody!!
