I am only 12 weeks and 5 days pregnant. As I was lying on my bed, I put pressure on my abdomen to see if I was goin to feel my baby move. Few seconds later, I felt something. A very small kick, not so sure if it was my baby or my stomach gurgling. Can it possibly be my baby?

most doctors will tell you know but I know that I felt mine that early.....once you know what the feeling is its unmistakeable..the early feelings are usually very fleeting so some people mistake them for something else

Well i am 21 weeks preg (for the first time)and just yesterday I felt a little *pulseing* or *fluttering* in my stomach. Whoever that was that said youll just know must of been preg more than once, because for me my body has gone thru so many new changes in the past 5 months that I can't be sure of what is going on! But on the other hand I feel pretty confident that it is my baby...As far as your question it is unlikely to feel your baby by 13weeks but you may be further than you think. I was a month off when I got my first ultrasound. Congrats on the pregnancy and I hope all goes well.

When I was pregnant with my first baby, I was maybe about as far along as you are now, and I was sitting in my mom's kitchen and felt, not a kick, but sort of like a little flutter. Most people told me it was too early, it was my stomach, etc. I mentioned it to my obstetrician and he said, "Don't let anyone else tell you what you feel. You know." He said it was entirely possible for it to be the baby. So, enjoy! And congratulations!

It's a bit early to feel it. It was probably just gas, but who knows. I started feeling things about that time, but I wasn't sure I was feeling the baby until about 18 or 19 weeks. Then it became undeniable. It was more than one little kick. It was a whole series of kicks and in different places.

I remember reading that my baby could easily move about inside a goose egg when I was about 11 or 12 weeks. I figure if it could move around inside a goose egg, and it was more amniotic fluid than baby, and its little limbs didn't pack any punch, I probably wasn't feeling my baby.

It could be, but being only 3 months I highly doubt it, and people usually say that the more kids you have the sooner you feel movements....not always true, I have had 3 children and never felt movements until I was about 5 to 6 months along.

It can be gas....gas usually feels exactly like the flutter movements that you feel when you start to feel the baby's first movements.

It was probably you're stomach gurgling- babies aren't usually strong enough to kick and you feel it until closer to 20 weeks.

Yes it was baby. The first kick can actually be felt at 7 weeks cuz that is when their startle responses start. Congradulations!

"developmental stages of pregnancy" is the search phrase i used... it says "By the fifth week of pregnancy the baby's heart starts beating. The baby is about the size of a raisin right now."
but there is a fetus/ mass there so i think it stands to reason that it's either gas or adjustments your own body is making for the fetus to grow... Congrats btw :-)

It's a little early, but we are all different. Mine felt like butterflies fluttering in my abdomen. Also, my activity was more high than low in the beginning. Congratulations, by the way.

I started feeling my baby move around 14 or so weeks. It usually feels more like butterflies when they first start moving rather than a "kick". But it is very possible.
Good Luck!
