Legally, the man has no say in the decision. But, you learned that from the other answers. I just wanted to add that a parent may be able to avoid paying child support but surrendering all parental rights. This means that you will never have access to the child for the rest of its life. Its as if you never existed, or as if the mother used a sperm donor. Check your state's laws regarding this issue. You may be able to find something on line. However, before you make a decision like this, first make the decision about what kind of person you want to be.

What a woman decides to do with her body is her own business. If she could live with the fact that she's aborting a life, well more power to her.
If a woman decides to carry the child to term and can prove through DNA testing who the father is, then yes, that man has to pay child support.
Wear protection and hope it doesn't fail. If you practice abstinence, this will never be an issue.

I think a man should have a right. I think if you go down to a court house and ask a judge or even a lawyer, I'm sure that they can give you some answers. Other than that, I'm not too sure if a man really has any say so. Good Luck!

I think it may be possible to stop her from having an abortion legally in some states, but to legally make her have one or to avoid child support...........NO WAY!

No, men have no say in a woman's reproductive rights. If she wants to keep it, she keeps it, if she wants to abort it, she can abort it. And the men still have to pay child support if she keeps it.

i believe that a lady has a top to come back to a decision any issue that consequences her body, yet her determination also has an result on the daddy. it is the duty that when 2 unmarried human beings interact in sex, they both have an similar duty to apply birth control. i'm older yet contained in the former days distinctive females were given pregnant with the point to catch a guy right into a dedication. i do no longer believe that it truly is the priority, now. i believe that if a lady makes a unilateral determination to have a baby, the regulation ought to no longer make the guy paid for her determination, it is the position i believe that the regulation, has to even out the taking area in field in those circumstances. If she "on my own" makes the alternative to have the toddler .That she needs to tutor to the court that she has the skill to improve the youngster on my own.

I don't think they should be allowed to tell the girl that they have to get an abortion, but I think they should have the right to stop her from having one, especially if they are willing to be an active father

wrong!
If they are married, she has to have his permission to get the abortion, atleast in the state I live in. If they are not married, then it is all up to her. If he wants her to get a abortion and she says no, then he is still responsible for child support.

Not legally... but if you got her pregnant, than you should step up to your half of the responsibility and talk to the girl about all the options and help her make a good decision.
IN the future, WEAR CONDOMS and this won't be a problem for you!
