There is a program entitled Duke Tips that allows 7th graders to take the SAT. I believe that is the youngest you can take it. The test covers questions that a 10th grader should have covered. I would suggest looking over the test taking materials online, or practice books that are available at a local bookstore or library. They have revised the format of the SAT in the last year and added a writing section, so make sure the advice that you get is based off the new format.

I took it in the 7th grade, and also when I was 16 and 17. I don't think they have a minimum age. Try www.ets.org

In MO it is 17, because that is legal age for emmancipation. Your state may be different, call your local high school and ask there. They will know.
