I have an ACER Laptop (Aspire 3620)... I just got it last week so things are still kind of new to me. I plugged in my USB wireless mouse and it worked just fine. The mouse on the computer also worked at the same time.
Now my wireless mouse works...but the mouse on the keyboard doesn't. Maybe there is some button but I cannot figure it out.....I've looked at the settings and etc. I don't know what happened...but I don't want to use my wireless mouse right now....I want to use the touchpad. I was thinking maybe the touchpad somehow got uninstalled. after looking at acer.com for support I noticed that you can download the sysmentic touchpad...so i've tried to open the zip file, and i extracted all of the files in the zip but its still now downloading anything.
Help! Thanks--
I've tried everything...

i looked around the toolbar to find an icon to turn it back on, nothing. :-( it's so frustrating because i didn't delete it.

On my Toshiba Laptop, Satellite A105-Series, there is an icon in the taskbar, ie, where the clock, etc, is, and it's for turning my touchpad off and on. I turned mine off because, when I was typing, or whatever, I tended to touch the darn thing, or the little right/left 'mouse' buttons on it, and would start or end something without meaning to. You might check there.
It's unlikely that you uninstalled the software for it.
