I am considering creating a fashion consultancy specifically for women "of a certain age" and I am wondering how many of you would feel you would want or look for help in developing a personalized, stylish look that is up to date & appropriate for where you are in life. What kind of help would be most useful for you? How do you maintain your look? What would you want most to change?

I am 54 and wear plus size clothing. My biggest complaint in that most clothes designed for large women are too short and to large in the bust and sleeve area. All large women are not short with big boobs. If you try to wear something sleeveless, the arm holes are to large. Yes, I know that if you have boobs, it fills out the front and takes up the slack around you arm. But, that does not help me find clothes that fit. I wear a 16 in jeans and the butt usually has room for mine, and two others like it. I see lots of people out there built like me (bless ther little hearts). Now you have the whole picture. Tall, no butt, no boobs. Add to that, I have no waist, and there you are... No, I do not like to buy clothes on line, or in the men's section. I want a pair of jeans that fit like everyone else wears. I want lite summery sleeveless dresses and blouses. I want it all!!!

I don't believe in God any more because of a tragic motor scooter and gun accident that blew off my left foot and three fingers. I often wonder that if I saw Bozo naked would I think that chocolate milk cannot be sold in stores in a plastic container, or could it? That is a very deep and philosophical question that many great people like Coach Ditka and Jesus could not answer when they went before a grand jury for illegal dancing in Utah. Just because Van Halen does not play at your grammar school dance doesn't mean that you have missed out in life or did something wrong. You have to move past those issues and begin to address the fact that Men are from Mars and Women are from Saturn. I once fed a dead rat to a blind man in a tossed salad and he was not happy with the dressing I picked for him. Do you ever reflect on the meaning of extra large shrimp or why plumbers don't lay plumbs when bricklayers lay bricks? Dance freely and don't forget to wear sunscreen when you go to the bowling alley. The government and aliens want you to stop smoking and you are just falling into their plan and trap. Think about all the people in the phone book that cannot play the piano or shoot a cross bow. Why is that? I cannot explain this to anyone unless they open their mind to free thoughts and the acceptance that dogs can teach humans to create a clean burning combustible engine to put in our automobiles. I do generally wear only women's orange panties when I cut the lawn in the morning. I think that is the best answer that I can provide with this limited amount of time and research.

I am not over 50 but I have noticed fashions for the older lady..you either have ladies trying to dress like 20 year olds or the clothes that the stores offer make the lady look like some old school marm. I would think it would be hard to design a fashion for older ladies. Just because they are older doesnt mean that they want to wear black and white all the time or even prints. There is a lot of life left in them-good luck in helping them look their best.

I definitely think there is room for a new clothing line for adult women, one that is not currently being met in today's market. Look at how well Chico's has done, and I don't think they have many locations. It has to be marketed well, that's for sure. Look at what the Gap tried to do. I'm not positive, but I think their experiment is a failure. Women do not want to shop at the Gap after they hit 30, that's for sure. But what if they are too old for the Gap and too young for Talbott's ?

I think you could become a billionaire if you can figure out a way to market various fashion lines to women in a way that recognizes the modern image of womanhood. It's almost certain that you will have to fashion a new brand identity.
