After i had my windows directory deleted... does anyone know how to access these files? because there are big files and files i am in need of so any help would be helpful (lol) and i run with Windows XP

yes you need to take ownership of the files, you will need to sign in as administrator to do this.

on the welcome menu, press ctrl - alt -delete (all at same time) and do this two times.

This will open a screen, where you have to type in the user name and password.

Type in the "Administrator" user name and the password for the administrator account. you will need to know this.

then find the files, right -click on them, and select "sharing and security" (you may have to go into tools > folder options > uncheck simple file sharing) in order to get the 'sharing and security' option.

then you will be shown a message you don't have sufficient permissions to access this file, click here to take ownership, then click to take ownership, check the box to take ownership of all subfolders and select the user name that you want to give "ownership" too. The techs at yto.ca helped me with this, they are a paid tech support. they can help you if you need it.

go to the taskbar click search click on for files and folders click on what type of file it was and go to advanced search options be sure to check on hidden files and folders wait it out when its finished click restore hope it works :) it works with some of the files i accidently delete
