I am a tourist from Sweden. I am leaving Vancouver tomorrow, but I don't know how can I get to the airport from Downtown Vancouver. Could anyone please help me out? I prefer using public transportation to go to the airport.

I don't know where you are in downtown vancouver..but there is a bus called #98 (maybe #99) that will take you almost non stop from downtown to an exchange near the airport with an immediate connecting bus for the last mile or so...It's $3.25 for the trip (2 zone trip)..in order to find where the bus goes downtown...google in www.translink and it should give you times and locations.
a cab will cost you about 35-40 dollars.trust me I worked at vancouver airport for 31years

You can go on public transit (ask at the hotel where you're staying) or you can take the dedicated bus to the airport, which is called the Airporter. It's a lot quicker than the public transit route, but if you allow enough time, you should be okay.

Right now airline companies are ripping off the consumers. There are "key phrases" to use when calling in to book flights that will get you great deals that aren't often published. Search yahoo or google and you'll see what I'm talking about. I've also referenced a guide that is updated monthly to contain the latest tips on getting the best deals. These tips have saved me hundreds of dollars over the last year.
