Well, that really depends on where the car comes from and why...

If the car was yours for two years and you bring it along when officially immigrating to Switzerland, it's usually easy and free of any taxes.

In all other cases, there will be some duty (minimal) plus a car tax of 4% and VAT of 7,6%.

Anyway, some technical changes are required before being able to get a Swiss registration. If it's a fairly new US or European car, the changes are fairly limited (US) or not needed (Europe).
