I woke up this morning to discover what looks like a cyst on my labia. I know it's not an STD because I just got checked last month and was clean and haven't been sexually active since then. I also am not worried about it being a tumor because it is squishy, not hard. It is about the size of a large pea, slightly tender and a little red (perhaps from being irritated by my clothing) For the most part it doesn't bother me. I plan to get this checked ASAP, but was wondering if anyone experienced this before or if anyone has any ideas what it might be. Thank you!

go see a doctor and they will know for sure.. i've gotten those before and there is no real reason for the ones i've had. the doctor said something about acids in that area just being kinda strong for whatever reason..

it could be a bartholin's cyst......bartholin's cysts happen when the bartholin gland becomes infected and inflammed and they are usually very very painful. if it is tender and looks red, it might be one of those...you would have to go to an OB to find out for sure to see if your cyst is in the correct location for you to have an inflammed bartholin's gland. they can be lanced or i think you can take some sort of antibiotic to clear it up.

Did you have sex the night before you noticed it? Or any type of sexual activity the night before? That would be the first questions I would ask before I could help you out.

It might be what is called a genital wart, I don't believe they are contagious,if it is the same thing i had many years ago they do go away and for the most part are not bothersome.

It might be an ingrown hair... I've had them before. You just have to wait it out if that's the case...
