The Bible says:

Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, Who is blessed for ever. A'-men.

For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is agianst nature:

And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.

And even as they did not like to retain God in thier knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient.

My friend, I'm of the same mind, but you aren't really asking a question here, are you?

Yes, yes Lily -- yes, yes

Like all of the other arguments, taken against whatever out of scripture -- your argument an attempt to quote scripture, I presume because you believe "his word will not return to him void" is crippled by the fact that the Bible is mythic.

The Bible, the book you are using, is not God's word, it is barely man's word. It did not exist when the early Church was formed. In fact, the canon in something resembling the present form did not come into existence until nearly 400 AD at the Council of Carthage. We have thousands of fragments from various books of it -- but those only compound the confusion -- for even the most conservative estimates clearly show at least 200,000 textual differences between the various fragments (Bart Ehrman; Misquoting Jesus: Who Changed the Bible and Why; Harper SanFrancisco). Some of those changes greatly change core doctrines of the Church.

Are you a biblio-idolator? or a Christian? They are clearly different faiths. It took me years to admit it to myself, but I finally did. Christianity means following Christ as best you can. Doing good for others, and being a being of love. The Bible is clearly mythic, mainstream Christianity has known that for hundreds of years. Mythic and indefensible as anything else but mythic. The Bible is, -- actually a book of myths, and some of them are pretty horrid myths while others are just plain silly.

The earth is not flat, it does not have corners, and it is not established on pillars. Beetles do not have four legs, they have six. Rabbits do not chew their cuds, they have none. Ai and Jericho were both abandoned when the Israelites came to them and Jericho NEVER was walled. Oddly, though a million Jews (more or less) marched around the wilderness for 40 years and ALL died there, we cannot find a single skeleton from the march, even though we have found the remains of tribes of 200 non-semites in the same area. Pi really DOES work, and a perfectly round pool cannot be made that uses a pi of 3.0 rather than 3.14 -- it would leak through a gap in the side.

The god of the old testament, almost certainly either a rendition of one of the great Annunaki of the Sumerians or of Ra of the Egyptians, is a monster who cannot possibly deserve worship, even if real. He accepts human sacrifice, demands genocides, and wipes the faces of his priests with dung. He is, in very real terms, anthropomorphic, having a palace on top of the firmament (the dome covering the earth) where he keeps snow and hail "against the time of troubles" (war???) [If you want to read up on this type of thing, there is a fair list on the site I maintain. Go to www.rebuff.org and read the three pages under bible on the left hand menu.]

The short version of what I am saying is -- its myth. Fairy stories, like Grimm's and like Santa Claus. Furthermore, Christianity, despite what you have been told, was not HISTORICALLY based on the Bible as you know it. The canon was not established universally in anything resembling a form you would recognize until the Council of Carthage, hundreds of years after Christ. The early church had 40 gospels, but no one church had more than one book or maybe a very few. Often a gospel, or a letter -- or sometimes nothing at all. Different bishops wrote different canons, just as they had different theologies (gnostic/anti-gnostic for example). The Council of Nice (Nicea) established the creed by vote, and many things (trinity) won by only one or two votes. Divine inspiration? Not unless you count assasination, quite a few occurred connected to Nice and to Carthage.

The idea that the Bible is infallible is no different from the idea the Pope is, and it is even newer.

Christianity is not a myth, it is a religious faith. It does not require infallible books written by bronze age savages to be true. It requires love.

So, I am sure you are getting lambasted (and thus you feel that God is being lambasted) because you are trying to push a religion in a site meant for people to help one another. I am also saying that you MAY be getting lambasted if you are trying to push Biblical literalism. It is harder and harder to push that you know, more and more people know its a crock. I hope you know that it is one too, and that the religion you are pushing is one of love, not one of law.

Feel free to email me if you wish.

Why are there so many heterosexuals? Oh,and the Bible is just a book, written some 200 years after the fact BASED on what Jesus said, but I'm not going into that discussion. Why do people hate other people? Thought you were Christian, then you're supposed to LOVE ONE ANOTHER,don't remember seeing the clause,oh,if they're gay,bi,lesbian,tg,oh,NOT THEM!! Check yourself, before you judge anyone else

Funny how this bone head doesn't mention that he is using the same book that slave owners used to justify slavery. But let's look at some other sins...

Eating birds of prey, eating shellfish, cross breeding livestock,
picking up sticks on a Saturday, planting a mixture of seeds in a
field, and wearing clothing that is a blend of two textiles are
examples of acts of ritual impurity," one of the two types of sins
in the Bible, which were seen as unclean and unceremonial.

The bible has nothing to do with this. They are human beings and humans come in all shapes, sizes, and sexualities. Just because your bible says that it's wrong and that homosexuality is a sin, doesn't mean anything when it comes to the human world. You can preach all you want to but it won't make a difference and all you'll do ailenate yourself.

What are you so afraid of?
Who gives a crap what your silly little bible says.
YOU don't even understand it!

You have spent your whole life in fear, sitting around clutching your bible waiting to die so you can go to heaven.

Why don't you try to do something nice for the world instead of pointing fingers and quoting scripture of which you do not understand.

You are a sheeple.....a follower.....a loser.....wandering around life believing whatever a pastor says to you without question.

WE ARE SO MUCH BETTER THAN YOU

It's asinine to believe in something that is inherently hypocritical and riddled with double standards. Why believe in something that contradicts itself? Christianity neutralizes itself because of all the contradiction. The bible is it's own base to neutralize acid and vise versa. Your bible also says these things:

You Can't Judge Me:
Matthew 7:1:
Judge not, that ye be not judged.

Romans 2:1:
1 Therefore thou art inexcusable, O man, whosoever thou art that 1judgest: for wherein thou judgest another, thou condemnest thyself; for thou that judgest doest the same things.
…Whoa, God says you’re gay if you judge me.

John 8:7:
Let he who is without sin cast the first stone…

About love:

JOHN 4:7 "Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God."

JOHN 4:11 "Beloved, if God so loved us, we ought also to love one another."

Why are there so many?
Guess what - there are even more to come!
There are 10000000's of gay people in the closet - they were all born gay but have been afraid to come out, because of hatred, but people are getting less afraid and more and more will come out.
Younger generations have it much easier, so soon you will be very surprised by the huge rise in homosexuals. Better get used to it now :)

You give a bible quote for your reasoning.. not everyone believes in the bible! not everyone runs there life according to how a fictional book says!
