When someone calls my cellphone from out of the plan area, am I charged the same as if I had called them?

It depends on your plan. usually if they call you the charge is just using part of the minutes in your plan. Most carriers and plans now have free mobile to mobile so if they call you from a cell there is no charge. I have Alltel and I can call anyone, any where in the US and all I am doing is using my plan minutes without any extra charge. Check with your carrier.
