All of the above suggestions were great.
Depending on the type of engineering position, you will have two interviews. The first one will be administrative, asking about your previous experience and salary expectations.
Point out the highlights of your previous jobs. Tell them your salary is negotiable (don't give a number).
The second interview, scheduled at a later date, will be technical. They will ask specific questions regarding your field of engineering. This will be done by the hiring manager who is knowledgeable about the field, so don't lie. If you don't know, you can learn.

Being pleasant and able to reason about problems is more important than what you already "know". But a good background in your chosen field is important too. Have faith in your training and be nice. If you can't have faith in your training background, go back to school until you can.
