For instance, when Tom Tancredo (neo-nazi) went on his anti-immigrant rants, the more corporate neo-cons slapped him down, they allowed the Sensenbrenner Bill to be stopped in Senate (never to return) and even Bush came out in a much more pro-immigrant labor (corporate slave-owner) stance.
Can a strategy for the Left be to divide the party, swift-boat their candidates back, and start playing tougher? Or will they typically just be satisfied being the yin to the Republican yang, the best passive party that ever existed?
Dems say "I stand for the People, I agree with them, on whatver they say." What do they say? "I don't know..." Thats the problem. Anyone who puts thier wieght with the current Democrats is a fool. They intentionally throw in the towel, they get paid all the same.
OK, bring on the answers! Try to focus on the question , I have heard the Fox news party line many times, save your energy.
think about this. please.

tm_tech32 - Thanks for the Fox News report. I guess that is just a shortcut to thinking... I am not Democrat, you need to READ the question, but Conservatives can only handle Ann Coulter style baby books.

Ethan M..you are endless aren't you.Neither one of those nerds are ultra left ? good lord, to answer your very well thought out question .. I don't know. The left is fractured .. also anything slightly left of this extreme right swing we are in the middle of is considered and promoted as left.. so who are we really? I think the whole Right/Left title muddies already polluted waters. We'll have to define ourselves clearly before we can divide anyone else. As for the right I have always considered myself moderately Right ..but again it's so hard to know who you are in this puzzle that I am afraid to identify to strongly with any one group...
I guess I really have to say..
I don't know.
also whats up with the guy right above me...where is your head at..? the last time this country had a strong economy their was a Democrat in office, whats wrong with make love not war ? all you hate mongering Nazi types are really very scary indeed.. read your history people. Right before a dictatorship takes off this is the debate and the ultra right militant war nut's come out of the woodwork and spew their hateful BS.. scary stuff man..
peace people remember that concept ?

To answer your question, I doubt it. It would take a 3rd party that gained significant support from a sizeable segment of the Republican party. I'm not sure of this, but I think Clinton wouldn't have won the first time without Perot. Dole, I think he beat even if you took Perot out of the picture.
But I think your looking at the wrong side of the equation. There's two ways to win. You can try to tear down your competition, or you can try to improve yourself. Dems seem to be addicted to the former strategy (which is a shame). You unfortunately are demonstrating the same mindset in your comments by giving absurb labels to people and intentionally mischaracterizing what they said. What does Tom Trancredo have in common with neo-nazis? And he's speaking out against ILLEGAL immigration, not all immigration. There's a huge difference.
And the reason you think people are giving you the Fox news party line is probably because what there saying makes sense logically. If something is logically true, such as 2+2=4, pretty much everybody that thinks logically will give you the same answer.

Yeah there you go, that is what you all should be doing. Try to come up with a way you can beat the people. Nevermind that your party has been overtaken by crazed lunatics even eating their own (Lieberman) if they do not follow in lock step.
That's right boys and girls, there is nothing wrong with your party, in fact, you should keep going to the left some more. There are still some of you that are not complete blathering idiots. Maybe you could nominate Cindy Sheehan for President.
Either way it is obviously not your tremendous shift to the left over the last 20 years that has caused your problems, it has all been a dirty Republican trick, you just have to keep on your direction. Don't be afraid to tell the country what you really want. Nationalized healthcare, free this, free that, make love not war, kill more unborn children, let more people out of jail, let world wide terrorism grow unchecked, higher taxes, slowing economy, Social Security collapsing, burden the American people with even more entitlement spending and let every last one of those Mexicans into the country.
Wow what a great platform you have there, good luck with your plans. See ya in November!!!!!!

How long will it take for the Democratic party to self destruct because it has been taken over by the left wing nut bags like Howard Dean and John Kerry?

Not very likely. If the Dems want to win it is easy: Dump the libs like Dean and Pelosi and get moderate Dems out there. The reason the 2 groups you speak of are united is they see no reasonable alternatives.

good remark about the inability of solidarity shown by technique of the bailout vote. Republicans pick an effective 8 years as a minority celebration to reorganize and reinvent themselves. i do not imagine Palin's habit is a symptom of the disunity in spite of the indisputable fact that. i imagine she's only a free cannon who has a grand concept of herself and that she believes she is a better physically powerful choose of a thanks to win the a nationwide election than McCain or his experienced campaign advisers. on the different hand, she should be attempting to tutor that she reads the paper and is conscious a thanks to apply e mail, lol.

No because the Democrats have two strong factions as well: The Daily Kos uber-leftists and then the Clinton moderates.

McCain didn't have the balls to fight the far right whackos. Guiliani is their only hope. This Dem would vote for Rudi over another loser like Kerry.

Would help if the Dems would stop bickering amongst themselves and picking blow-hards like Howard Dean to chair their national committee.
"WE'REGOINTOSOUTHDAKOTA AND OREGONANDWASHINGTON ANDMICHIGANANDWASHINGTON D.C.TOTAKEBACK THEWHITEHOUSE YEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!"
While Dan Quayle misspelling "Potato" might top it in terms of overall absurdity, Howard Dean's "I'm on crack" speech takes the cake in terms of sheer humor.
Seriously people! wtf??
