yes, your browser has been hijacked, manually changing back to the homepage won't help. You need to manually remove the spyware/hijacker. This is quite the intensive process and is best left to the professionals, you can call yto.ca for paid tech support and they will fix it for you. I use them often and they are awesome.

If you can't pay for help, I would google forum sites that might be able to help you for free, if you tech savy enough, and able to follow their directions, otherwise I would back up important data and photos and then reformat your computer. (if you have the windows xp install disk or recovery disk (don't use recovery disk till you are completely ready it wipes out your entire hard drive)
