What's your favorite song/CD?

They have beautiful voices. I can't listen to them anymore. I don't share their political views. It sounds extreme but I don't want to support the group (buy albums, go to shows). Some people are funny. I've read blogs where people confuse the free speech issue. I am thankful to live in this country where the Dixie Chicks can speak thier mind without the threat of censorship, imprisonment or even death. I would never want to take away that right for them. They must respect my right to not support their opinion. This is cause and effect not a first ammendment issue. People get that confused and it is more frustrating than the comments the Chicks made in 03. There are consequences sometimes to the things we say. Those consequences play out in a number of ways. In the case of the Dixie Chicks, I think it hurt them financially. I respect their music and talent but won't support them anylonger because I don't share their political views. I hope they respect my right to peacefully abstain from their entertainment.

Not into country but Natalie Maines is pure girl power. I bought the album just to spite Bush and all the idiots who are against free speech. I do really like that Not Ready to Make Nice song though.

as a band NO. but occassionally I do like some of their songs... I love "Lullaby" from their newest cd

Don't listen to country, but I admire them for having the guts to speak up & voice their opinions.

I dislike Country. But I like the "ROCK" on the roads in the country!
