i was at a tractor pull and didnt realise how loud it was going to be until after the first run so i didnt have my ears plugged for like 5 seconds could this have damged my hearing?

possibly...but I doubt that you were exposed long enough to cause long-term damage. You might notice some ringing or loss of hearing for a few days, but it should improve after that. Exposure like you described over a longer period of time can definitely cause hearing loss, so always be prepared with the ear plugs!

Do you hear something like a whistle in your ears? Do you have a headache? Is your sense of balance bad? If you answer yes to one of these, it's worth checking with a doc.

VERY unlikely you did any damage to your hearing. If you have any doubt or symptoms; though, you should visit a specialist. A quick check in a sound room will show any damage if any.
