He is competent and lucky most of the time. If you notice he never really gets his team in the top half of the table & manages to avoid relegation in the last stages of the season - I guess he knows how to work well under pressure & gets his team motivated, fighting & dying for each other when their backs are against the wall. Teams sink or swim when in crisis so he must have a cool head to keep the team calm & collected & instill some belief into them.

I don't really have an idea how he stays up - maybe you should ask his wife!! ha ha!

A bit of both, I think.
On the "Genius" side, he made some successful transfers that injected energy into a side that looked dead in the water before his arrival.
On the "Lucky" side, Pompey was helped by the fact that Birmingham and West Brom couldn't score goals.

Harry Rednap....now where can I start.
He is a truely diabolical individual. How he can leave one team and go to their neighbour and rivals is beyond belief, and then, when things aint going his way, he leaves the rival team and returns to a lowly 2nd rate team, just purely and simply for money. He lost a very good man and friend in Jim Smith, he really disrespected him and the Southampton supporters who gave him their all.

He's a class act who knows probably as much as anyone about how to be a good manager, he is astute in the transfer market and its more by skill than luck that he does well at clubs

even geniuses need a little luck .I personally think he takes chances with players that other people shy away from ,but he gets the best out of them now that's neither genius or luck but damned good coaching ability

I love him to bits and you cannot fault his record so he must have something. Thing is he is one of the lads and I always enjoy listening to him. Football would be poorer without this kind of character and it all adds up to making the game what it is. Nice one 'arry!
