Help me decide present for my friend who is girl, well kinda more than friend?

i wanna ive my friend a birthday present, she's kinda more than a friend, but i dont really know what she like, whe i ask her bye massage, she ask back "what do u think i like" ... and i dont know what she really like! i know she like game, but lately she has changed, and i dont feel right to give game for present. and i cant give her givecard coz she's half world away! and that's one of the problem, i wanna buy a good present, but limited because the mailing bill is RELLY exoensive, and as student, i have to save my money to buy her things, so i'm really confused, please help. thanks

hard to answer this question without knowing her age, or where she lives (what country, etc.)

I'm going under the assumption she's probably a teenager, and if she's no longer into games, she's probably progressing more towards the jewerly, glittery stuff. One gift that would be really special is a charm bracelet, which is small enough that shipping shouldn't be too high, but personal enough that you could select different charms (one or two to start). Then she will have something that her family and other friends can add to as well. She'll always treasure it as a thoughtful gift from a special friend.
