I don't think so but some medications can render it ineffective... check with your OB

Huh? Do you mean that if you take birth control perfectly, it might become ineffective? Immunity refers to a person's body fighting off intruder organisms, like if you have a cold and your body builds up an immunity to that particular cold virus. But pregnancy is not the same thing.

Birth control works by fooling a woman's body into thinking it's pregnant. If the hormone levels aren't sufficient, a woman's body might release an egg--this usually happens when the Pill isn't taken on time, every time--and the woman could become pregnant. There's always a slight chance that a woman on birth control might become pregnant, but not because she's become immune to the medicine. If you have bad side effects from the meds (whatever format or ingredients in which you take the birth control), like headaches or lots of breakthrough bleeding or if you take antibiotics, talk to your doctor and see if you need a different formulation or if you need to use an alternate form of birth control (like a barrier method.)

There is no research that supports your question.
Best to contact your doctor and try another form of birth control if you're unhappy with the depo provera.
