i'm saving up for a laptop and i can't deside weather to buy a mac or a dell. wut would you buy, and why?

Dell, it is cheaper. If money was no object I would get a Mac, you can run parallels and run both OS's..

Get a Mac, it may cost a little bit more in the beginning, but it will save you headaches in the long run. With the long running history of less (almost zero) viruses, less trouble with Adware, Spyware, etc. I think the Mac is a better choice.
Now, you can also run Windows (after you buy a copy) on a Mac, a MacBook or MacBook Pro is the only computer you'd ever need.

I'd buy a mac - yea, it's expensive but it's also reliable:
I work for an internet service provider and the mac calls are simple to solve, the dell & windows ones are more of a headache....
you need to consider the following:
what do you plan on doing with your computer? gaming, email, word processing, internet, music?
are you looking to expand beyond what you have on the computer (adding more hardware)
are you good with computers, or need something simple? (get a mac if you need something simple)
Can you afford a mac? yea, it's expensive, but it's built solid!

HP. Price, discount due to my school, Reviews on the system that fits my needs from all the makers, reputation, quality of build.
When it comes to PC Laptops there's more than just Dell.
Check out the HP dv5000, sweet laptop, long life, nice weight, getting awesome reviews, people are loving it.

dell reason is best deals more better gb and rams and componets and faster any how better on line and phone help service.. and having their charge card is awesome too.. in school mac are ok but cant use all the programs made for comps for personal use i swear by dell. my sister went to college for comps etc swears by dell hates the mcintosh

They are both proprietory. So in the long run your going to pay alot to fix. Upfront, Dell is cheaper

i think of the laptop is the ideal. It has on no account enable me down and is "accepted" in employer. looks that many faculties and tertiary institutions like the MAC yet i admire the compatibility of the laptop. laptop is the main severely used international extensive. what proportion companies attempt to construct MAC-compatibles ? .
