Absolutely if you're having intercourse. You must ask your mate to get treated. It usually takes about a week or so. If you think you have caught it, go and see your doctor. Don't wait because it can hurt and burn a lot and could eventually reach your kidneys.

Most definitely. Especially women.. because a guy can push bacteria up in to their urethra.. causing them to end up with a UTI. UTI's are bacterial in nature, and though men have a longer ureter, which makes it more difficult to catch it from a female, the female certainly can pick up the bacteria more easily.
