I am very clean.I take showers daily.I'm std free(tested frequently and recently ).I don't know why my periods or even spotting from my birth control causes a temporary vinegar smell.I doubt eating alot of foods with canola oil used to make it is doing it.So what's up with my body? Also with my birthcontrol, I have periods every two, three months if at all so could it be the lack of periods also causing problems?

My birthcontrol is the one where you get 4 periods a year. If that's the cause, then I need to get on the regular pill.

It is actually natural. Blood has that metallic smell along with secretions of the vagina, it smells like vinegar or what have you.

I wouldn't worry about it.

Good luck!!!

It seems that your birth control pill is not suitable. Your periods should be very regular on the pill. I think this is what the root of the problem is. You could also have an infection, no matter how clean you are. You need to see a gynecologist to sort this out.

Douches are bad. My OB told me never to use them. I'd ask your doctor about everything. Maybe he/she can recommend something.
