Without the dictator and mass murders, and with the basic freedoms we already have, possibly yes. Follow Marx's government and don't take advantage of it and things could be better for us.

It's silently socialist now. Every plank of the Communist Manifesto has been emplaced in our government structures and in most Americans' minds. They're socialists and don't know it. The only way it could be any more socialist is if everyone held a government job then gave the government a kickback in higher taxes than we already pay to support the non-producers in our society..

Of course not. Capitalim is a natural occurence of humans interacting with each other.
Socialism is government's imposition on human behavior.
United States is not even better off as the world's only superpower. USA would be better off the if the whole world embraced capitalim instead of massive inefficiencies, bureaucracies and regulations.
Poverty in places like Africa and Latin America are mainly due to corruption and socialist style governments. Change the laws and food will be distributed better.

No, because that would make me very unhappy. I like living the United States just the way it is. If anyone else wishes a socialist government, there are plenty to chose from. Don't let the door hit you in the butt.

except for products one million and four, i presumed you've been talking about Mexico. Coincidentally, products one million and four are correct: A. using lack of regulation (which too mimmics Mexico) which includes Nafta and Cafta, there is not something preventing organizations from outsourcing. The exodus of manufacturing jobs from the united states has more suitable US electorate' enrollment interior the social protection information superhighway classes. B. using deregulation, the housing marketplace bubbled and crashed, which led to more suitable US electorate' enrollment in social protection information superhighway classes. that is not unreasonable to declare we went from 22% dependency to 40 seven% dependency more often than not using lost or lacking regulation. You blame socialism yet surely it replaced into free marketeering that led to both products one million and four. considering another merchandise on your record is established in Mexico, i wager they actually have not something to do with socialism or social classes because Mexico would not have any. Mexico is a shining party of Laissez-faire Capitalism, and that i recognize how some may see Mexico as a golden chance. in case you are able to make the most of exploitation, Mexico may be the position for you as well.

As an American, I can say absolutely not.
However, there is a trend developing in the US, which is straight out of Mussolini's Italy -corporatism. We have "Economic Development Committees" in each state, and each community, whose sole function is to take tax payers money and give(grant) it to private enterprises of any type with the promise that the enterprise will create some random number of jobs. This is fascist economics. It is very dangerous because should I some day decide to publicly denounce this practice, the government could conceivably grant, or threaten to grant, enough money and tax holidays to a competitor who could build right next to me and he would have one hell of an advantage over me. The end result would probably be my silence.

No. It has failed everywhere it's been tried. A socialist economy cannot sustain itself. It's like a pyramid scheme...great for those who get in at the start...but those who come later get nothing.

With social security, SSI, Aid to Dependent Children, Medicare and Medicaid, free schooling, food stamps, Section 8 housing, project housing, etc., etc., I'd say we are there and have been there for the most part.

NO! Socialism is completely divergent from the values this country was founded on. Not to mention it's only a small step away from communism.

I think both that and also turning inside to issues in the US would make the US a better place to live.
